Banking & Finance Solicitor or Associate
Banking & Finance Solicitor - Manchester
Ok, so you're a banking lawyer. You've got a few years practice under your belt and experienced some high quality and high value transactions. You've worked ALL the hours and you're paid well for the privilege. Maybe you are working in London or in a national or international practice and despite all of that, there is still something missing.
Whether its the long hours culture, the lack of any clear progression or maybe even the corporate treadmill, whatever the reason, something isn't quite right.
Do we have the role for you?
Well, maybe. It really depends what you want.
What are we looking for? Well, experience as a banking and finance lawyer essentially. Whether that be in real estate, corporate or asset finance the key is genuine transactional experience. Why? Well because the role sits between junior and more senior lawyers and as such the expectation is you will be able to immediately make an impact.
Why is it different? Ok, it is a law firm but with all that said, it is a friendly, supportive and technically strong firm with a team that attracts some huge work and by huge I mean HUGE. Recent work has involved the restructuring of a debt portfolio of some £3 billion, yes billion. Not too many can boast that kind of work in Manchester.
The other difference lies in the structure of the team and culture of promoting based on performance not time served. Equally someone coming in at the right level has no competition (in the sense of someone fighting for the same level of promotion as you).
Could it be for you? Well, if you have between 1 and 5 years PQE then, it might. We probably need to speak to better understand whether it might work. If you think it could be of interest then send your CV to us or contact Paul Warburton for a confidential discussion.
