An employment lawyer is offered an excellent opportunity to join a Legal 500 and Chambers ranked employment team at this top 75 UK practice in Birmingham.

The employment team in Birmingham act for employers throughout the UK and internationally across a range of sectors including construction, health and social care, energy, central and local government, higher education, housing, and financial services.

The successful employment lawyer joining this employment team in Birmingham will undertake a broad range of interesting, complex and challenging contentious and non-contentious employment work which will include:
 

  • Disciplinaries and grievances
  • Redundancies
  • Capability matters
  • Restructurings
  • Policies and procedures
  • Training
  • Employment contracts
  • TUPE
  • Equality obligations
  • Employment tribunals


This position is ideally suited to employment lawyers with a minimum of four years’ PQE. Employment lawyers applying for this position should be able to display:
 

  • A strong academic background
  • Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment
  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills
