Construction Solicitor - Manchester

Our client is a leading national practice with solid foundations and a real success story in the Manchester market.

The Manchester office and the national practice as a whole has significant strength and depth and is able to provide a full service practice to commercial clients.

The construction team has continued to grow in recent years and it remains an area of key focus for the business and represents a great opportunity for someone coming in.

The primary focus in Manchester sits on the transactional side of things acting for investors and developers on sizeable projects including mixed use regeneration schemes, forward funding of development projects throughout the UK as well as education and local authority clients in relation to large schemes.

It is a fantastic mix of work and will provide real hands on experience in close proximity to the lead partner.

The firm itself places great stock in achieving the right cultural fit. The net effect has been an office that is incredibly friendly, supportive and dynamic with fee earners working with a real sense of team.

Continued work levels support the additional hire of an experienced construction solicitor - ideally you will have around 2-4 years PQE. That could be a mix of contentious and non-contentious albeit that the primary focus in this role will be towards the advisory and transactional side. The team are open to those more senior but given the need for someone to be actively involved from day one, it is unlikely that there is much scope below the lower end of the bracket - it would take some exceptional direct experience but not something that would be ruled out.

If you are a construction lawyer whether in a smaller practice with a broader diet but an appetite to take a step up to a leading practice or at a larger firm seeking to avoid the frustrations of progression then we are interested in speaking to you. Additionally you may be in-house working within a developer or construction industry business and looking for more of the technical challenge and structure that a law firm can provide.

If you have relevant experience and are interested in finding out more, please contact Paul Warburton for a confidential discussion.
