Probate Litigation Solicitor - Cheshire

Our client is a leading North West based law firm.

Due to continued expansion this leading probate litigation team is seeking to recruit again for a qualified lawyer to join this high profile team.

Examples of work include a high-profile construction case; numerous IPFDA cases for both claimant and defendant, validity challenges re both capacity and undue influence and applications regarding the administration of estates, including for the removal of executors.  The team is retained by executors, trustees, beneficiaries and charities.  As a result of the increase in work which, given the investments made by the firm, is forecast to increase for 2019 and beyond, the Dispute Resolution Department is seeking to recruit a probate litigation solicitor of around 0-8 years PQE.  

The firm is based in Cheshire in an affluent area with a strong local and increasingly national client base.  The Dispute Resolution team is long-recognised by the Legal 500 granting them “Top Tier” status and the firm is also a member of the MSI Global Alliance of independent law firms and the UK200Group. The Dispute Resolution team is also recognised for its probate litigation work by the Legal 500.  The firm believes in investing in its lawyers.

The successful candidate will be someone with a good academic background and training, who is looking to gain experience and maintain a high quality of work in a team-orientated environment.  Candidates are required to have a keen interest in probate litigation and will need to demonstrate an ability to develop high levels of technical skill and strong client relationships.

The position would suit candidates who have an ability to work as part of a team and also independently in a supportive environment, who are commercial and decisive and who are able to respond to clients’ urgent requirements.  Candidates should have an aptitude and willingness to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other departments of the firm.  The role will also provide scope for the successful candidate to be involved in practice development, not only for the Dispute Resolution Department but also for the other legal services offered by the firm.
