Construction Solicitor NQ+
Construction Solicitor - NQ+
At its heart the team are looking to find those candidates with a genuine interest in construction law - to that end, they are being pretty open in terms of PQE and experience.
The scope of the role sits from NQ up to 4 year PQE. What the role is not is an absolute retrain. The work is transactional i.e. construction contracts and so whilst the ideal is to find someone with experience of handling construction documentation there is a bare requirement of having had exposure to commercial contract drafting as they are confident they can provide training and support to anyone on the construction specific side of things.
Unfortunately, in the absence of having a heavy contentious construction experience (which has the capacity to translate), litigation experience is unlikely to add value.
The construction team in Manchester form an integral part of a national construction practice across their UK offices.
The work will necessitate undertaking a broad range of non-contentious construction and engineering projects for clients throughout the UK across a range of sectors including hospitality & leisure, transport & logistics, energy (renewable & fossil), agriculture, retail, and the public sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction solicitor to take a step up to a leading national practice to undertake challenging & complex non-contentious construction matters which will include:
- Development & Funding Agreements
- Agreements for Lease
- Novation Agreements
- Ancillary Project Documentation
Without trying to be too prescriptive the team are open to hearing from those candidates who fulfill the general requirements above but most of all have a genuine interest in the construction world.
As a leading national practice, the firm maintains an excellent reputation for the quality of their work and the investment they make in their people, with bespoke training and tailored career development supported by an excellent salary and benefits package.
