Construction Litigation Solicitor

Our client is a leading international firm with a longstanding reputation for the quality and complexity of its litigation work.

Whilst the firm has a broader full service offering it maintains a strong profile for its contentious disciplines across a range of sectors.

This role arises within the construction and engineering team to support a lead partner on dispute resolution matters.

The construction work is both domestic and international spanning claims in the Far and Middle East. On all fronts it remains high value complex work. The work is both strategic advise as well as full blown litigation incorporating arbitration and adjudication and cross border enforcement.

The clients can be a broad range from employers, joint venturers, contractors and subs and extends from projects across infrastructure, development, energy and mining.

The role itself would suit an experience litigator, certainly someone with around 2-5 years PQE. The natural fit would be an existing construction litigator but appreciating that they are in short supply the team are open to looking to anyone with a sound technical high value litigation background. This could be someone with experience on the professional negligence side or indeed mainstream commercial litigation. In the latter instance, you will need to have clear thought out reasons for wanting to move into construction. Unfortunately experience purely from a personal injury background would not be enough.

If you are a litigation solicitor looking for the next step in your career or indeed seeking a career change from mainstream commercial litigation to this sector specific area then please contact Paul Warburton for a confidential discussion or send your CV to us.
