Corporate Solicitor - Manchester
It is easy to see why this national firm continues to attract people from its competitors. The primary reason tends to sit around the culture that pervades throughout the business.
Despite its established roots, the firm has never fallen into the trap of becoming stayed and stuffy and has always felt more nimble, commercial and entrepreneurial. That resonates in not just its approach with clients but also with its people.
There is great investment in development and training but also in encouraging individuals to take responsibility, look for new ways to deliver to clients and to establish their own position with clients. Silo mentality there is not.
There is a real sense of dynamism which is far too often absent in law firms.
This role arises within the corporate team. The corporate team is now established and stable and advises public and private companies, management teams, investors and debt providers through the business life cycle, from start-up and first round finance through acquisitions, venture and development funding, reorganisations, restructuring, private equity funding, IPOs and exits.
The work is varied and the team is friendly and supportive.
Like many corporate teams, they have experienced a strong up tick in work and so there is a need to grow at the junior end to support the practice group. That is not to suggest you are joining to provide a dumping ground for low quality work - the team is supported by paralegals which leaves you to take on appropriate complexity.
If you are looking for a role within a corporate team where you can get good work within a friendly, supportive and dynamic environment then do get in touch.
At this stage, the team have retained at the NQ level so this role sits in a bracket above that. Ideally, they are looking at those with upwards of 6 months PQE, up to and around 3 years. That said, if you feel you have the calibre of experience or prior relevant paralegal experience that could bolster your standing then we are interested in hearing from you.
