Senior/Managing Associate – Commercial Dispute Resolution

A top-tier national law firm is seeking a Senior or Managing Associate to join its market-leading Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Sheffield. With a stellar reputation and a varied, high-quality caseload, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial litigator to join a thriving and supportive team.

The Team
This highly ranked Commercial Dispute Resolution group is recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers and operates across the UK with over 100 lawyers. The Sheffield team has built long-standing relationships with a diverse client base, including major regional, national, and international businesses across sectors such as manufacturing, tech, food & drink, hospitality, and sport.

The Work
You’ll handle a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, with particular expertise across:

Shareholder, partnership, and trust disputes
Contractual and warranty claims
Sale and purchase agreement issues, including completion account disputes
Professional negligence
Restrictive covenant enforcement
Fraud and misrepresentation
Injunctive relief (e.g. freezing orders)
Contentious insolvency and enforcement matters
Defamation and reputational management

The team places strong emphasis on strategic, pragmatic advice that drives real value and long-term client trust.

The Role
This role is suited to a Senior Associate or Managing Associate with:

At least 4 years' PQE in commercial litigation or commercial dispute resolution
Strong technical ability with a keen commercial perspective
Experience managing complex matters and client relationships
An appetite for business development and a proactive approach to client service
The ability to thrive in a collaborative, high-performing team
Flexibility to handle a mix of disputes and quickly immerse yourself in varied work
