In-House, Commercial/IP
In-House Legal Counsel - Commercial Lawyer
- Location: Lancashire
- Type: permanent
- Job Reference: 3415
- Salary: Circa £55,000 plus benefits
A leading manufacturer based in Lancashire is seeking a new Legal Counsel addition to its small in-house legal function. This company is award-winning and celebrates some excellent and well thought of products within its industry sector, and its products are distributed to retailers internationally - they export to 120 countries.
The successful commercial legal counsel (solicitor or with other qualifications) will draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and other agreements, advise on company law and help to resolve any business disputes. Other ad hoc matters that the in-house legal team deal with includes employment, regulatory and compliance, as well as IP and DP work.
The company is open minded on your experience level, and whether your background is with law firm or another in-house team, as long as you have the right drive and hunger to take on work that you might not be familiar with at first. There are two others in the legal team to help guide you, and to work with to find good commercial solutions for the business.
You will be interested in growing your career with the company (which has been on a growth trajectory over the last few years - currently at around 200 people). A budget of around £55,000 is available and there are some other benefits to talk through as well.
The company office is nicely appointed and they create a great culture for their employees, and I think it would be an excellent place to work - probably more suitable for somebody with an entrepreneurial nature and interested in working for a high growth company.
Please contact Adam Zdravkovic at Think Legal for further details and a job specification.
