Professional Negligence Solicitor – Manchester
Are you a professional negligence solicitor looking for a move into a team outside the traditional model, or a junior lawyer with an insurance grounding looking to move into professional negligence work? We are working on a new position for an insurance solicitor (or trainee approaching qualification) to move into the professional negligence team of a global firm.
An opportunity has arisen at a global firm, for a junior fee earner to join the professional indemnity team in Manchester. The team handles an excellent breadth of work – from defending professionals including solicitors, accountants and those in construction and technology – to policy coverage issues. The range is wide, from offering a regular caseload of smaller claims, to assisting on large multi million pound disputes. They are looking to hire a bright, eager junior lawyer into the team, to handle a variety of interesting and rewarding disputes work.
The ideal candidate will have professional negligence or wider commercial insurance experience – either from a law firm or insurer background. However, someone with a solid grounding in general insurance and the ambition to move into professional negligence work will be considered - at the NQ-4 PQE level. The key is the insurance grounding to understand basic concepts, and the ability to work as part of a close team. This small team can offer exceptional structure and support to a new joiner, with partners directly to work with and give hands on supervision.
This team is part of a wider insurance offering, that can provide excellent support and knowledge on insurance matters to enhance a chosen candidate’s expertise. The Manchester office is ambitious and looking to grow, offering excellent career development prospects.
