Housing Management & Property Litigation Associate

Leeds | 2–4 PQE

I’m working with a well-established and growing legal team in Leeds that is looking to add a 2–4 PQE Housing Management & Property Litigation Solicitor to the team.

This is a good opportunity for someone who already has experience in housing management and/or property litigation and is looking for a role where they can take genuine ownership of their own caseload, work directly with clients and continue to develop their career.

The role

You’ll manage your own caseload covering a broad range of housing management and property litigation matters, including:

• Injunctions
• Possession proceedings
• Disrepair claims
• Housing management advice
• Policy and other non-contentious matters
• Supporting on larger and more complex cases alongside senior lawyers

There’s also scope to get involved in client training, business development and relationship management, so this would suit someone who enjoys more than simply running files from A to B.

You’ll also have the opportunity to supervise and support junior members of the team as your experience develops.

What they’re looking for

Ideally, you’ll have 2–4 years’ PQE and some experience within housing management and/or property litigation.

You’ll need to be comfortable managing your own workload and caseload, dealing directly with clients and working with a degree of independence appropriate to your level.

They’re also looking for someone who is commercially minded, proactive and keen to build strong client relationships rather than simply being technically strong.
