Agriculture, Estates and Rural Property Solicitor

About this vacancy

Our client, a well-established and growing law firm with a strong regional presence, is looking for a solicitor with NQ – 5 years' PQE to join their thriving Agriculture, Estates and Rural Property team — a team that continues to see exceptional success within the sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience advising on some or all of the following:

• Selling, buying or letting rural property, including farms, landed estates, amenity land and woodland
• Easements and rights of way, private or public
• Agricultural tenancies, including successions
• Minerals ownership, including title, registration and trespass issues
• Working mines and minerals
• Estate management work
• First registrations
• Sporting rights (shooting and fishing)
• Rural property secured lending (acting for lenders and/or borrowers)
• Renewable energy and energy storage schemes, such as options and leases for solar farms

Candidates from a commercial property background with a genuine interest in specialising in rural and landed estates work will also be considered.

Our client is looking for someone proactive, a self-starter, with strong technical ability. They're also keen to find someone with excellent people and client management skills, an interest in business development, and good commercial awareness.

This Agriculture, Estates and Rural Property team sits within a wider firm of over 200 people, with offices across the North East and Cumbria. Applications are welcomed from candidates interested in any of these locations.
