A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Associate or  Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer to specialise in the fast-growing telecommunications sector while working with high-profile clients on complex and high-value matters.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with major telecoms clients, handling a broad range of real estate matters. This role offers the chance to develop strong client relationships and build expertise in a dynamic and expanding area of law.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on commercial landlord and tenant matters relating to telecommunications mast sites.
• Managing site acquisitions, upgrades, renewals, and estate management issues.
• Handling portfolio transactions involving large volumes of property work.
• Supporting strategic projects, including regeneration and development initiatives.
• Assisting with Electronic Communications Code matters and collaborating with the Real Estate Litigation team on Code-related disputes, including forced site moves.
• Drafting and negotiating leases, licences, and related legal documentation.
• Delivering commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base.

The Team

The Real Estate Practice Group advises on all aspects of property law, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, asset management, development projects, and investment structures. The team acts for landowners, developers, investors, occupiers, funders, contractors, and public sector bodies across a range of industries, including telecommunications, retail, corporate, education, and local government.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in real estate law.
• Strong experience in commercial landlord and tenant matters.
• Proven ability to manage large portfolios of transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Confidence in building and maintaining client relationships.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
• A strong drive to succeed and enthusiasm for business development.
• Experience or interest in telecommunications property work is highly desirable.
