Associate/Senior Associate (Telecoms) – Real Estate

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate Practice Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer to specialise in the fast-growing telecommunications sector while working with high-profile clients on complex and high-value matters.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with major telecoms clients, handling a broad range of real estate matters. This role offers the chance to develop strong client relationships and build expertise in a dynamic and expanding area of law.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on commercial landlord and tenant matters relating to telecommunications mast sites.
- Managing site acquisitions, upgrades, renewals, and estate management issues.
- Handling portfolio transactions involving large volumes of property work.
- Supporting strategic projects, including regeneration and development initiatives.
- Assisting with Electronic Communications Code matters and collaborating with the Real Estate Litigation team on Code-related disputes, including forced site moves.
- Drafting and negotiating leases, licences, and related legal documentation.
- Delivering commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base.
The Team
The Real Estate Practice Group advises on all aspects of property law, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, asset management, development projects, and investment structures. The team acts for landowners, developers, investors, occupiers, funders, contractors, and public sector bodies across a range of industries, including telecommunications, retail, corporate, education, and local government.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in real estate law.
- Strong experience in commercial landlord and tenant matters.
- Proven ability to manage large portfolios of transactions.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Confidence in building and maintaining client relationships.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently.
- A strong drive to succeed and enthusiasm for business development.
- Experience or interest in telecommunications property work is highly desirable.
