Associate Solicitor – Banking & Finance

Manchester | Full Time | 1-4 PQE

Our client, a top-tier national and international law firm with a highly ranked, fast-growing Manchester finance practice, is looking to appoint an Associate (1-4 PQE) to join their Finance team.

This is a rare opportunity to join a nationally recognised practice at a pivotal stage of its growth, working on a broad and sophisticated mix of financing matters alongside leading practitioners in the field.

The Role

You'll join a national finance team handling major regional and national banking transactions spanning corporate lending, leveraged finance and real estate finance. You'll work with an impressive roster of UK and international clients, gaining exposure to complex, high-value deals while building your specialist expertise and professional network.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working across a broad range of banking transactions, including corporate lending, leveraged finance and real estate finance
• Handling a mix of regional, national and international transactions
• Supporting senior team members on complex, high-value matters
• Drafting and leading negotiations on principal finance documents, combining technical rigour with pragmatic, commercial advice
• Playing an active role in transaction management, helping drive deals forward efficiently
• Beginning to build client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives
• Collaborating closely within a high-performing regional team as well as the wider national practice

About You

You'll be a qualified solicitor with 1-4 years' PQE and a background in banking and finance, ideally with experience across corporate lending, leveraged finance or real estate finance. You'll be technically strong, commercially minded, and keen to build lasting client relationships within a high-performing team.
