The construction team in Birmingham act for developers, contractors and specialists, occupiers, construction professionals, and funders across a range of sectors including energy, financial services, transport, engineering, regeneration, waste management, hotels and leisure, water and utilities.

The successful non-contentious construction lawyer joining this top tier construction team in Birmingham will be involved in infrastructure projects, wind energy projects both on and offshore, commercial, and residential development schemes, biofuel projects, town centre redevelopment projects, portfolio acquisitions and disposals, and urban regeneration schemes.

Your work will be broad, complex, and challenging, and will include:
 

• Standard form contracts
• JCT, NEC, IChemE and FIDIC
• PPC 2000
• Collateral warranties
• Parent company guarantees
• Performance bonds
• Retention bonds
• Variation agreements

This position is ideally suited to non-contentious construction lawyers with a minimum of four years’ PQE. Construction lawyers applying for this position should be able to display:
 

• A strong academic background
• Training and qualified experience in non-contentious construction
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
• Experience and an enthusiasm for business development and client relationship management
