Commercial Litigation, e-discovery, Document Review
eDiscovery Project Managers and eDiscovery Consultants
- Location: London, Manchester
- Type: permanent
- Job Reference: 3263
- Salary: Up to £70,000
A select few pioneering international law firms in Manchester are starting to invest more into eDiscovery and it's great to see this fast growth area start to filter into the regions finally from London.
These eDiscovery Project Manager roles tend to focus on those with upwards of 2 years of eDiscovery experience and look for experience of Relativity and other similar software packages.
The work tends to be almost entirely advisory - advising and working with external providers, preparing reports and guiding internal litigation teams and external clients. External providers or separate internal teams will tend to delve deeper into the data on your instruction. You will attend meetings with clients, talk about strategy, introduce data sources that could support them in particular ways, and help them to gain the competitive edge in each case.
Most teams at these law firms are still in a bit of a start up phase - they will ramp up and add more team members as the years go on, so it could be a good opportunity to join as a team grows around you. These opportunities could be particularly interesting for those currently working in similar roles for the eDiscovery providers themselves - these law firms will value your knowledge and experience greatly.
Most law firms operate a hybrid model and you tend to be looking at 2 days in the office and the rest of the week from home. Some are a little more remote than this, just requiring attendance as the team/clients require. These roles are mainly in Manchester and London, with some that can be based in other regions too. Salaries vary between the teams but tend to be up to £70,000 if focused in Manchester.
