A leading national Top 50 law firm is seeking an Employment Barrister to join its growing Employment Counsel team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded employment practice in a role that combines substantial Employment Tribunal advocacy with the opportunity to play a broader role within a large and successful employment team.
The firm has made a significant investment in its in-house advocacy capability in recent years and is continuing to expand the team, with further growth planned over the medium term.
The Role
The successful candidate will undertake a varied and busy caseload, with approximately 70-80% of their time focused on Employment Tribunal advocacy.
In addition to advocacy work, you will:
Applications are invited from practising Employment Barristers with strong advocacy experience and a genuine interest in working as part of a collaborative and growing team.
The firm is open to speaking with candidates from a range of levels of call who can demonstrate excellent advocacy skills, strong technical ability and a commercial approach to client service.

The Role

- Advise on employment law matters and case strategy.
- Work closely with solicitors across the employment team.
- Assist with drafting and technical legal issues.
- Deliver training and employment law updates.
- Mentor and support junior lawyers and trainees.
- Contribute to the continued development of the Employment Counsel function.
