In-House Legal Counsel / Senior Commercial Contracts Manager

Location: Commutable from Liverpool and Chester (Hybrid) Salary: Competitive 

We are exclusively partnering with a leading UK retailer to recruit a mid-level legal professional into their established head office team. This is a high-volume, commercially-focused role within a business known for its international reach and multi-sectoral projects.

Working within a collaborative and open-plan legal department, you will provide end-to-end legal support for various business units. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be expected to manage your own caseload and provide pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including framework, IT, and trademark licences.

• Support major business initiatives, from commercial partnerships and joint ventures to new start-up projects.

• Advise on regulatory compliance, data protection, consumer law, and marketing materials.

• Handle ad hoc legal queries and assist in resolving commercial disputes.

The client is looking for a resilient and technically proficient professional with a background in commercial law. While they are ideally seeking a Qualified Solicitor (3-5+ years PQE), they are also open to applications from experienced Senior Legal Advisors, Commercial Contracts Managers or Legal Executives with strong in-house commercial experience.
