Senior Associate – Real Estate Litigation (5+ PQE)

Location: Leeds (Hybrid)

I'm working with a highly regarded commercial law firm looking to appoint a Senior Associate into its established Property Litigation team. The team has an excellent reputation in the market and advises an impressive client base on complex, high-value real estate disputes.

This is a role for someone who enjoys technically challenging work but also wants to play an active part in mentoring junior lawyers and helping shape the future of a growing team.

The Role

You'll advise a broad range of clients including developers, landowners, insurers and commercial organisations on a varied caseload of property disputes, with a particular emphasis on development-related issues and title indemnity matters.

Your work is likely to include:

• Title indemnity claims
• Rights to light disputes
• Restrictive covenants
• Easements and rights of way
• Mines and minerals issues
• Access disputes
• Other title and land constraints affecting development projects

Alongside your own caseload, you'll support and develop junior members of the team and work closely with respected partners on complex, high-profile matters for both commercial and public sector clients.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• Around 5+ years' PQE in Real Estate Litigation or Property Litigation
• Strong experience handling development-related property disputes and/or title indemnity work
• Excellent technical and commercial judgement
• Confident client relationship skills
• An interest in supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
• A collaborative approach and genuine team mentality
