I'm working with a highly regarded national law firm looking to appoint a Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor into its established Leeds team. It's a brilliant opportunity to join a collaborative group that does high-quality respondent work for a varied client base, with a particular strength in the education sector.

Whether you've spent your training contract in employment or have built up solid experience through a seat, this is the sort of role that can provide an excellent platform for your career.

The Role

You'll work alongside experienced employment specialists advising predominantly employer clients on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including:

• Employment Tribunal litigation (respondent)
• Disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment
• TUPE advice
• Discrimination and equality matters
• Settlement agreements and exits
• Day-to-day employment support for a diverse client base

The work has a strong focus on education clients, but you'll also gain exposure to charities, social enterprises and commercial organisations, making for a genuinely varied caseload.

About You

You'll be:

• Qualifying as a Solicitor in England & Wales this year.
• Completing (or have completed) a seat in Employment Law.
• Keen to build a long-term career in respondent employment work.
• Commercial, personable and someone who enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues alike.

Previous education sector experience would be helpful but certainly isn't essential.
