Banking Litigation Solicitor - Manchester

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a banking litigation lawyer to join a top tier banking litigation team in Manchester.

This truly international practice ranks as one of the top 20 in the UK. The banking litigation team in Manchester forms part of a national banking litigation practice acting alongside their colleagues throughout the UK and supporting colleagues at the firm’s Europe, Middle East, Asia, and US offices on cross-border matters.

The successful banking litigation lawyer joining this team will act for major UK banks, clearing banks, challenger banks, overseas banks, insurance providers, investment funds, and financial lenders. The work undertaken by this market-leading team is challenging and complex, advising on a broad range of matters including:

• All aspects of financial services litigation
• The Consumer Credit Act
• Regulatory investigations
• PPI
• Corporate crime
• Data breach
• Insurance
• Mis-selling and mass claim issues
• Unsecured and secured lending
• Professional negligence
• Protection products
• Pensions

This position is ideally suited to banking litigation lawyers with a minimum of two years’ PQE. Experience in banking litigation is preferred but not essential; as such, candidates with a broader commercial litigation background are encouraged to apply and should be able to display:

• A strong academic background
• Training and post-qualified experience gained with a reputable regional or national practice
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
