Commercial Property Solicitor - 2-6 years PQE

Halifax or Leeds

Think Legal Recruitment are working with a multi-service Yorkshire law firm who are looking to add a junior commercial property lawyer to their team working out of their Halifax or Leeds office.

The commercial property team is one of the largest in the firm and is an important backbone and is in a period of growth.

The opportunity at the Halifax/Leeds office is to work one to one with a highly experienced commercial property Partner.

You will carry your own broad caseload of more straightforward matters including acquistions and disposals and landlord and tenant matters whilst also assisting the Partner on larger and more complex work.

Although the wider team is large is size, this is an opportunity for someone to really make name for themselves in the Halifax and Leeds area and surrounds and build a reputation here with a clear pathway to progression from junior lawyer up to more senior opportunities in the mid-longer term. You will get real exposure and experience to a quality of work that you might be fighting other junior lawyers for at other firms. 

The work in the commercial property team as a whole is really wide ranging - several Partners in the team forged their careers at 'Big 6' practices and the work is reflective of that, with them punching above their weight, whilst keeping a smaller firm, more relaxed culture.

There is the opportunity to work hybrid within the team with a 2-3 day split between office work and remote.

The firm has a low turnover of staff and this is testament to the culture, where there are opportunities to develop and grow, be heard, and also to enjoy time outside of work, or doing social events with colleagues.
