Progression to Fee Earner

Think Legal recruitment are working with a North Yorkshire high street law firm who are looking to bring a conveyancing assistant into their busy residential property team out of their central York office. 

The ideal candidate should have at least 6 months experience of supporting a conveyancing fee earner on a one to one basis.

You should be familiar with the full sale and purchase conveyancing process from start to finish and be able to deal with all matters including issuing on the sales side draft contracts, dealing with enquiries, exchanging contracts, dealing with completions and on the purchase side submitting for searches, search reports, exchanging contracts, completions, SDLT payments etc.

This isn't a 'volume' team. The department doesn't 'pile it high, and sell it cheap'. It is more focused on its lawyers doing excellent quality residential conveyancing work for their clients. 

There is the opportunity here to progress and carry some of your own files too over time to ultimately become a fully fledged fee earner.

This is a great opportunity to work for a tradition firm dealing with good quality residential conveyancing work.

Salary is competitive circa £21k-£26k depending on level of experience + benefits including 26 days holiday (dependant on when Xmas falls) plus bank holidays and free parking in York.
