About the team

Our client is a highly rated, award-winning corporate team of over 70 lawyers, advising businesses ranging from entrepreneurs and SMEs to financial institutions and FTSE 100 companies. Operating from multiple UK locations, the team provides advice on mergers and acquisitions, disposals, fundraising, private equity, equity capital markets, due diligence, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, reorganisations and demergers, corporate structures, and governance.

The Sheffield-based Corporate team is led by a nationally recognised partner, ranked as a Leading Individual in a major legal directory for Corporate and Commercial Law, with significant experience in company acquisitions and disposals, fundraises, and restructurings, acting for clients ranging from high-growth university spin-outs to multinationals.

A second senior figure in the team is also recognised as a rising-star partner in the same directory, with a client base spanning manufacturing, engineering, and technology sectors.

The team offers a blend of top-level national legal expertise and international reach, delivered through a well-regarded local platform.

About the role

Our client's Sheffield Corporate team has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join senior management as a Director or Partner. This appointment is seen as key to driving the team's next phase of growth. Candidates with an existing following are ideal, but those with a clear, credible plan for generating future growth will also be considered.

Candidates with at least 7+ years PQE are invited to apply. The successful candidate will be involved in the full range of corporate work, including mergers and acquisitions, shareholders' agreements, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, and private equity. The team works seamlessly across offices, and candidates should be strong team players with a proven track record of nurturing and developing talent.
