Employment Associate (2–6 PQE)
Newcastle | Hybrid Working
A highly regarded national law firm is looking to recruit an Employment Associate (2–6 PQE) to join its growing team in Newcastle.

The Role
You will join a collaborative team advising a broad client base across both the private and public sectors. The work is varied and offers a strong mix of contentious, advisory and corporate support matters, giving you exposure to the full spectrum of employment law.
Typical work includes:

Advising employers, HR teams, in-house counsel and senior executives on day-to-day employment issues

Managing Employment Tribunal matters including discrimination and whistleblowing claims

Advising on disciplinary processes, grievances, dismissals, redundancy and restructuring

Drafting employment contracts, policies and other key documentation
-
Supporting on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including TUPE
-
Assisting with internal workplace investigations
-
Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues across other practice areas
You will have good client exposure from the outset, while working within a supportive team environment where partners and senior lawyers remain approachable and invested in development.

About You
-
Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 2–6 years’ PQE
-
Experience across contentious and non-contentious employment matters
-
Comfortable managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
-
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
-
An interest in building client relationships and developing your practice
