Senior Residential Conveyancer

If you're an experienced residential conveyancer who enjoys the work but is fed up with chasing volume and spinning too many plates, this could be well worth a look.

I'm working with a well-established commercial law firm in Newcastle that's looking to add an experienced conveyancer to its residential property team.

This isn't a high-volume factory environment. The focus is on delivering a good service, handling quality work and giving fee earners the support they need to do their job properly.

The Role

You'll manage your own residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion, dealing with a broad range of transactions including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
• Shared ownership
• Rural property matters
• Transfers of part
• Development work
• More technical transactions involving matters such as solar panels and septic tanks

The expectation is around 25 new files per month, but importantly you'll have the infrastructure around you to manage them effectively.

Each fee earner is supported by:

• A dedicated assistant
• Shared secretary
• Post-registration clerk

It's a genuinely supportive set-up that allows you to concentrate on fee earning rather than trying to do absolutely everything yourself.

About You

You'll already have experience running your own residential conveyancing caseload and be comfortable managing files from start to finish.

Strong client care, good organisation and the ability to build lasting relationships are all important, but equally this is a team that values people who are approachable and enjoy working collaboratively.
