Family Solicitor – Huddersfield

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a leading family team in West Yorkshire

My client, a well-respected regional firm, is expanding their high-performing Family department due to increased demand.

They're seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to manage their own caseload with a focus on financial remedy work, whilst contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice.

This is a great opportunity for someone at any level of experience – though for a senior candidate, there's genuine scope for progression.

What you'll be doing:

Running your own caseload of divorce, financial remedy and nuptial agreement matters
Attending court for directions hearings, first appointments and FDRs
Drafting legal documents and maintaining clear communication with clients and third parties
Providing empathetic, client-focused service with strong attention to detail
Supporting junior team members and sharing your expertise
Getting involved in business development activities to help drive the team forward
Building relationships within the local community to enhance the firm's profile

What they're looking for:

Qualified Solicitor with 8+ years PQE in Family law
Solid experience handling divorce, financial disputes and nuptial agreements
Knowledge of TOLATA, cohabitation agreements and declarations of trust would be advantageous
Strong drafting skills and excellent organisational abilities
Someone who's proactive, commercially aware and interested in contributing to business development
A team player who can work collaboratively whilst managing their own workload effectively
