Wills & Probate Solicitor / Executive – North Yorkshire

3+ PQE | North Yorkshire | Private Client | Salary dependent on experience

I’m working with a well-established regional law firm that is looking to add a Wills & Probate Solicitor / Executive to its team in North Yorkshire.

The role would suit someone with 3+ years’ PQE who enjoys private client work and wants to be part of a friendly, supportive team where there is plenty of experience around them.

You’ll manage your own caseload covering a broad range of private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney and Probate, as well as more complex Court of Protection work.

The role

You’ll be involved in matters from taking initial instructions through to completion, including:

• Managing your own caseload of private client matters
• Drafting Wills and advising on Wills-related matters
• Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Dealing with the administration of estates
• Managing a more complex Court of Protection caseload
• Handling new client enquiries and providing a high level of client care
• Billing files and dealing with monies due to the firm
• Keeping your legal knowledge and skills up to date

What we're looking for

You’ll need to be confident dealing directly with clients and able to explain sometimes complicated legal matters in a straightforward, approachable way.

We're looking for someone who is:

• Friendly and professional with strong client care skills
• Accurate and methodical in their approach
• Organised and able to manage deadlines effectively
• Comfortable dealing with technical and complex legal issues
• A good communicator, both written and verbally
• Confident with IT and able to pick up new systems quickly
• Able to work independently while also being a good team player
• Comfortable working at pace when required

A full UK driving licence is also required.
