Private Client Solicitor | York | 2–6 PQE

A well-regarded regional law firm with a strong reputation across Yorkshire and the wider region is looking to add a Private Client Solicitor to its growing York team.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the firm following a recent merger and continued investment across the business. The Private Client team is busy, well-established, and genuinely collaborative, with plenty of quality work and clear scope for progression.

The role would suit someone with around 2–6 years’ PQE who enjoys building long-term client relationships and wants exposure to a broad mix of private client work, including more complex and high-value matters.

The work includes:

• Wills, LPAs and Trusts
• Estate and Trust Administration
• High-net-worth estates
• Business and agricultural client work
• Tax and succession planning matters
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Networking and business development activities

There’s a good balance here between quality work, autonomy, and support. You’ll be joining an experienced team where people are encouraged to develop their own profile and play a genuine part in the continued growth of the department.

What they’re looking for:

• Around 2–6 years’ PQE within Private Client
• Strong technical experience across wills, estates and tax planning
• STEP qualified, working towards it, or open to pursuing the qualification
• Someone personable and commercially aware who enjoys client contact
• A team player who is keen to get involved in the wider success of the department
