Think Legal Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded law firm in Newcastle that is continuing to grow its Private Client department. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor to join a busy, well-established team with genuine long-term progression opportunities.

The Role

You’ll manage your own varied caseload of private client matters while working closely alongside experienced senior lawyers and the Head of Department. The role will include:

• Advising clients on Wills, LPAs, estate administration, trusts and succession planning
• Assisting with estate and trust administration, including HMRC compliance matters
• Drafting Wills, LPAs, probate documentation and trust-related documents
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional contacts
• Supporting and collaborating with junior team members and support staff
• Playing an active role in the continued growth of the department

The wider team currently consists of 2 Partners, 2 Associate Solicitors, 3 Assistant Solicitors, 3 Paralegals and 4 Secretaries.

What You’ll Need

• 4+ years PQE in private client law
• Solid technical experience across Wills, probate, estate administration and LPAs
• Exposure to trusts and tax planning work would be advantageous
• STEP qualification desirable, but not essential
• Experience or interest in rural/farming succession planning would be beneficial
• Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in developing client relationships and networks
