ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a talented Real Estate Associate to join their high-performing Transactional Real Estate team in Leeds. With exciting new client mandates and an expanding practice, this is an excellent opportunity for a 1- 5 year PQE Lawyer to develop their career with a top-tier firm.
The successful candidate will act for FTSE 100 companies and significant regional clients, supporting the full spectrum of real estate work including:

Sale and purchase of substantial investment properties and large-scale portfolios
Investment and property management
Acting for national developers and occupiers across various sectors

The firm provides exceptional technical training and is seeking an enthusiastic team member who wants to build a long-term career and become a well-rounded lawyer capable of delivering quality, commercial advice

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
Client Work:

Work on market-leading deals across the full spectrum of commercial property work (landlord and tenant, property management, sales and purchases, development & regeneration, corporate support)
Act for leading investors, developers and occupiers including major retail brands, property investors, infrastructure companies, developers, and local authorities
Compete with and negotiate against market-leading real estate teams

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with existing clients to maintain and develop relationships as a trusted advisor
Provide timely, quality advice whilst managing client expectations
Work collaboratively within a cohesive team to execute large-scale, high-value client matters to the highest standard
Take a leading role on matters with early levels of responsibility within a supportive environment

Development:

Engagement with formal training programmes (technical and skills-based)
Access to mentoring, coaching and leadership programmes
Continuous professional development is highly valued

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:

Minimum 1 year+ PQE in commercial real estate up to 5 years PQE
Enthusiasm, resilience, and ambition to solve clients' legal challenges
Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Consultative and thorough approach to tasks
Efficient diary and task management across multiple matters
Strong drafting skills - able to produce clear, legally effective documents
Ability to remain calm and optimistic under pressure or in time-sensitive situations
