Commercial Legal Counsel (Fixed-Term Contract)

We are seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join a small legal team in Manchester on a fixed-term contract. The contract will last for between 12 months and 18 months. This role offers a good opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex legal matters within a fast-paced and innovative organisation. You will need to be able to start work at fairly short notice. 

The company's ideal set up is hybrid working between office and home, and the office time can be just one day per week if desired - so candidates outside of Manchester with a longer commute are encouraged to apply. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, IT agreements, and supply contracts.
• Providing strategic legal advice on a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.
• Managing and resolving legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration.
• Supporting M&A and corporate restructuring transactions.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of PQE.
• Strong experience in commercial law, ideally within the technology or telecommunications sector.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
